AMERICAN GIRL MODEL SEARCH SEEKS 200 GIRLS FOR SPRINGTIME FASHION SHOWS TO
BENEFIT BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA – The search is on for 200 girls size 6X and 10 to
walk the runway at a series of American Girl fashion shows scheduled for this
spring. The open call will be Friday, January 12 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and
Saturday, January 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Galleria Mall’s upper
level, near Neiman Marcus.
Applications are available on-line at www.bgcbc.nanknox.org and on-site the day
of the search. No purchase is necessary to participate.
The fashion show events, the first of this kind in South Florida, will be held
March 17 & 18, at the Broward County Convention Center, with two shows each day
at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets to the event are $40 per person to include lunch,
show and door prize. The event is a production of the Boys & Girls Clubs Nan
Knox Unit in corporation with the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and A Basket
Affair.
All proceeds from the events will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs Nan Knox Unit
located in east Ft. Lauderdale. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of
Broward County is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from
disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive,
responsible and caring citizens.
